I received an email some time ago from Enfield and Barnet United Nations Association drawing my attention to their weblog. This is way off my Sheffield patch but they wanted to let me know as a fellow blogger. We are in the same online constituency perhaps if not the same physical one.
Well, what a site. Nicely presented. Lots of good information. And they are engaging with their local political representatives on the issues of concern to them and publishing the results. I am filled with admiration.

Martin Whitlock publishes an interesting political blog called Mindhenge. This takes the form of weekly long articles rather than short link entries. These offer an interesting perspective on policy and events based, I think this is fair comment, on observations of what is happening at a practical level rather than from a particular political perspective.

I have been reading an excellent blog called GROKLAW which is a widely read resource on court cases involving a software company called SCO.
The various legal actions that SCO has triggered show how the IT landscape is changing. It pitches SCO, with apparent financial backing from Microsoft, against IBM and draws in many of the players in the Linux and open source software worlds.
Groklaw is a good example of how a blog can be used to present information on a complex legal and technical subject. It is still pretty daunting but Groklaw at least offers a way through it all.

Clive Soley is a Labour MP who is most definitely not a techy and has ventured into the world of blogging. He writes regularly and is a good example of what many MPs could and would do if blogging became more widespread.

The best site I’ve found for London events, especially cinema, is London Net : the net magazine guide to London.
