Following Gordon Brown

I have signed up to Twitter to see how this is being used by PM Gordon Brown. Having found DowningStreet and asked to ‘follow’ it, I received this response:

DowningStreet is now following you on Twitter!

Hi, ricallan.

DowningStreet (DowningStreet) is now following your updates on Twitter.

I hadn’t quite anticipated the following being two-way. I’m sure that Downing Street will not actively read my every move, or those of the other 1300 odd people following them, but it makes you think….

The Twitter updates lead you to this interesting use of mash-ups on a special website built for the PM’s US visit.

  1. As Gordon Browns’ first thought each morning is now going to be how to keep the UK economy moving, you may be a little lower on his list of things to do. My main interest is in who will follow Gordon Brown and how soon. I think it is time for a major change and despite my earlier reservations I think its time to try something completely different. Lets vote in DC and the Tories.

Is this their idea of dialogue? :)

I like that you can go to their twitter page and read the twitters from all their friends – and someone seems to be reading some of them.

    Impressive mashup website too.
