Very true, but oddly three of the shops on West Street that have been empty for years (the old Blackwell’s shop, the garage under the DWP building and the old mobility centre next to Carver Street Chapel) have just been taken on my new occupants. Given the state of the economy it seemed a strange time for new shops to be opening in such long-neglected premises.
